A 55 years old female was having severe pain in the both lower limb and severe low back pain with tingling sensation in the both lower limb. On MRI patient is diagnosed with L3-L4, L4-L5 disc prolapse with severe nerve root compression. Surgery was planned for the patient and L3-L4, L4-L5 disc is removed and the nerve root was freed and also spine was stabilised with screws and rods. The patient was allowed to sit and walk on the next day of surgery. Now after regular physiotherapy patient is pain free and doing regular walking. Diagnosis - Lumbar disc prolapse with nerve root compression with facetal arthropathy / sciatica/ disc bulge / low back pain. Complaints- Low back pain with bilateral lower limb pain with difficulty in walking. Surgery - Posterior spinal fixation with Decompression discectomy / Lumbar microdiscectomy / MINIMALLY INVASIVE SPINE SURGERY / microscopic surgery / nerve root freed / disc removal.
